I used to live in Eugene and coming back from Pennsylvania, this was one of my first dinner choices when back. It's better than I remembered, and I remembered it fondly.

I love Hawaiian time, I’ve been eating it since I was a child, seriously so delicious. And guess what? BEEF IS BACK BABY!!!!!!! The Mac salad is seriously the best thing I’ve ever tasted. Many have tried to recreate it, and all have failed. Out of all the things I miss after leaving Oregon it is Hawaiian time I miss the most.

The food was delicious. Atmosphere is about what you'd expect for a place that mostly probably does call in orders. Will definitely return! P.S...how about some Hawaiian music to go along with the theme? It would sure be preferable than the music that was playing.

So, perhaps this is a restaurant that just isn't for myself or my family. I've had several friends tell me that they've enjoyed it, so I thought I would try it out. From the outside, it looks like a fun place to go. From the inside, I don't know. Sort of a cobbled together worn-out kind of look. I didn't mind that. I'm more interested in the food than how a place looks. I had myself and 3 kids. None of us could eat the macaroni salad that comes with the meal. I guess it's good if you like lots of mayonnaise. It was nice having Hawiian Sun to drink. The kids sure liked it, as did I. In the end, I paid for 4 meals of rice and macaroni that didn't get eaten. There was plenty of it. I'm not sure about the communal use of the condiments. Lots of people touching them. The experience just wasn't for me.

Generally I love Hawaiin time, however I haven't had it in a while so I decided to grab some for dinner. When I grab take out and it comes in a to go container, generally I shouldn't have to transfer my food onto a plate or another dish, to save from doing dishes. However, tonight wasn't the case. There was so much grease/oil in my food that the rice was SWIMMING. If I wanted a beverage, I would've chose a healthier option than a bunch of grease. That was too much grease, I couldn't finish dinner tonight, and very rarely do I throw food out.
